Causes
Acute Hepatitis can be caused by Infection or Toxic Injury. Hepatitis A & E are Viral in origin and transmitted through Contaminated Water & food. Hepatits B& C viruses are transmitted through contaminated Blood or Needles. Hepatitis A rarely occur in Adults as most Children get exposed it early and develop immunity against it. Hepatitis B & C may lead to chronic hepatitis and in some cases to Cirrhosis of the Liver and Liver Cancer.

Loss of appetite, Nausea, Vomiting, Weakness, Body aches, Feverish feeling, Dark yellow Urine, Yellowness of Eyes and Skin.

My father (aged 77 years.) has been living for last 2 years with stage 4 colon cancer that has gone to the Liver. He was operated upon for the removal of a colon tumor in 2018 followed by intensive chemotherapy (10 chemo sessions) which he tolerated well. However, in May 2020 he had to be admitted to the hospital in an emergency following complaints of nausea, vomiting, drowsiness & weakness. His Liver & kidney functions were derailed & he got diagnosed with Hepatitis B also. His health became extremely fragile and he had to be kept in ICU for around 10 days and then moved to the wards.
