Acne or pimples is a common occurrence on the skin more on the face and back also called Hives in young individuals during teenage years and youth years.

Acne may present as small, tender red bumps on the skin with no head or as pustular eruptions. In certain varieties, nodular eruptions develop and these heal with scarring.

Due to the hormonal changes taking place in the body during these years, eruptions called pimples appear on the facial skin. Acne is basically caused due to the blockage of the ducts of the sebaceous (oil) glands in the skin. This leads to retention of the oily secretion of the glands in the skin itself and when this gets infected with bacteria, it causes the formation of pustular eruptions.
